Mullaghmore

It turned out to be another sunny day in Sligo. It was actually warm that afternoon which can be rare in Ireland. It is only the start of summer, so hopefully, there would be more of these. The thing with these very beautiful days, is that they are so rare than whenever it does happen, everyone will be out. Because they are so rare, there won’t be enough parking whenever this happens. Why build a large parking lot if no one would be using it ninety percent of the time. This is one of those times where the parking would be appreciated. The local authorities had to implement a one way system because people would be parking on one side of the narrow road. Effectively turning the road into a one lane road. The best way would be to implement a one way system to there won’t be any surprised when driving.

Indeed cars were parked along the road as far as the eye can see. I really wonder what is so special here. To my surprise, I heard a lot of people coming from below the cliffs. I would see people making their way down the cliffs and apparently, swimming. I was surprised since I didn’t think that the waters around here would make for good swimming since the rocks here look very rugged and I could imagine that it would be not easy to swim with rocks like these. The people were swimming in a specific location, perhaps it would be safer in that area. Others were just sunbathing and just enjoying the warm afternoon sun.
