Garrettstown Beach

On the way to the Old Head of Kinsale, I passed by two white sand beaches. I reminded myself that I need to drop by here when I am done with the Old Head of Kinsale. As it happened, I decided that the beach would be where I would be looking for dinner. There isn’t really any large town nearby where I can look for food, instead there are two adjacent beaches which are packed with people. Surely, there would be someone there selling food. The Garylucas beach seemed to be the larger of the two beach and indeed there was food. I just wanted to check out the other beach which is Garrettstown Beach. Although, it is also packed with people there weren’t as many food trucks here compared Garylucas.

This is not to say that Garrttstown Beach isn’t nice. It is actually considered a Blue Flag beach, which means that this is a beach which has outstanding water quality as well as cleanliness. While you can’t really avoid people from leaving stuff wherever they go. I think the vast majority of people are responsible enough to keep the beach clean. This place has the usual stuff, sand and surf, including walking trails. I ended up going back to Garylucas Beach because it has more choices for food. It was still the time of pandemic and there is no indoor or outdoor dining yet. I will have to make to with takeaway for the next few days.
