Going to the Old Head of Kinsale

Much as my very gracious host wants me to go walking around the local area, I still had a itinerary of my own. One the main reasons why I am staying in the Kinsale area was because I wanted to visit the Old Head of Kinsale. With an odd name like that I really wanted to go there. I actually passed the way to the Old Head of Kinsale on the way to the bed and breakfast, but I need to check in first before I go anywhere else. Now, I am free to do whatever I want. The county of Cork is at the southern end of the Wild Atlantic Way, so depending on where you are coming from, this may be the the start of your journey. The Old Head of Kinsale is one of the signature points that is marketed to the public.

As expected the way to the Old Head of Kinsale is narrow while passing through a few small villages. I noticed that there are also a few beaches along the way, so I made sure to remember to visit it afterwards. I was fortunate that I was traveling at the start of summer so the days were long. This means I can stay much later than normal. Eventually, I made it to the Old Head of Kinsale. There is the familiar Wild Atlantic Way marker as well as informative sign which tells you all about the place. Just looking at this place tells me that this another one of those cliff side scenery which Ireland has a lot of. However, each one of them is different and I would like to experience it all.
