Going to Muckross Abbey

Muckross Abbey

Muckross Abbey

I managed to go around Killarney the day I arrived even if it was a bit late in the day. After I had a late lunch, I decided to go to Muckross House which is the most well known landmarks in Killarney. I was a bit disappointed to know that it was closed but I couldn’t see a reason why it would be. Still, I managed to go along the lakeshore and walk around the nearby park. Although the weather wasn’t very good then I was still happy with what I saw. On the way out, I saw a sign which points to Muckross Abbey. I wasn’t expecting this and I thought it was a bit too late to go there. I remembered to come back for it another day.

Walking to Muckross Abbey

This morning was much better than the previous day though I still expect unpredictable weather I think I would get lucky enough to get nice photos. I went back to the Muckross House car park though I think there might be a nearer car park. There is a nice tree covered walk to the abbey. It was definitely a nice place to go for a walk. The path is well sign posted so there is no getting lost here. And even if you did get lost here, you wouldn’t be wasting your time walking about this lovely area.
