Torc Waterfall

I was planning to have a look around the Killarney area. There is a fair amount of sights here to keep me busy the whole day. I started out just past the Killarney National Park entrance which has a nice little waterfall called Torc Waterfall. I saw a sign to a waterfall the previous afternoon and I wanted to go to it but it was too late in the afternoon, I didn’t know that I would be visiting it the following day. The weather was slightly better than the previous day but there was still rain. Nothing I can do there. The trailhead to the waterfall is just along the main road out of Killarney.

The hike to the waterfall turned out to be not that long, you can get there within a few minutes of the car park. The waterfall itself is quite modest. There was a lot of water coming out here but the drop wasn’t that high. I think the volume of the water is also helped by the recent rain. Rather than a single drop, there are several drops here one after the other such that it almost appears like it is a single one. The water then flows to the right of the viewer. There is a viewing platform right in front of the waterfall and there is no other way to see it since it seems to be surrounded by high slopes.
