I was quite happy with the view from the shop where the Chouara Tannery is. Although I’m pretty sure there would be others which have a better view, I don’t think I can afford to visit all of the shops here one by one to find out who has the best spot. Then again, each shop has its own unique angle and it helps to spread the wealth around if tourists visit different shops. My main purpose in visiting this area was to to find the Chouara Tannery. Having accomplished that I was wondering what I would be doing next. Apparently, people have stuff in mind for me. I was asked to follow one of the people at the shop. For some reason, everybody seems to have an uncle who owns some place. I was wary of following strangers and I was also thinking that I would have to pay this guy something because he showed me something.

There was no getting away from him, I was led to another place which apparently was a museum. This is the Museum of Andalusian Music. The is an entrance fee here but probably worth it to just get away from the madness that is the medina. The Museum of Andalusian Music is like a breath of fresh air within the medina. It opens up into a courtyard with a garden. The building around the courtyard has various exhibits featuring the musical instruments. Most of these instruments are mounted away from the visitor so there is no trying them. It is a pity that being a Museum of Andalusian Music, you can’t even hear what the instruments sound like.
