Sunset at Dugort Beach

While I did have an early dinner at Keel Beach, I didn’t really head back to the hotel until the sun was going down. There was still light out and this made it perfect for me to take some shots. The Strand Hotel was located at the west end of Dugort Beach. The eastern end is apparently an elevated area which has a great view of Dugort Beach. This was the perfect spot to take photos of the beach. The conditions were a bit challenging since the sun was directly in front of me. I had to wait until the sun was sufficiently down before I could start taking photos.

Annoyingly enough, the sun finally decided to show itself at sundown when it wasn’t out the entire day. I know I shouldn’t be complaining about good weather but I still wanted nice blue sky shots earlier in the day at least. It seems that I picked a great spot to relax in the car and just watch the sun go down. From here, I could also see people walking down the beach. There were some even swimming in the water even if the water was quite cold. Overall, I thought it was a great way to end the day. I have traveled a long way from county Donegal to reach this place and I think this is a great spot to just kick back and enjoy.
