Hotel Nad Oceanem

I had a day off from work and I thought I should try to out of town. I managed to find myself looking at Achill Island which is the largest Island of Ireland. There is a short bridge which connects Achill to the mainland but before that I arrived at the area, called Achill Sound, just before noon. I thought that I should get some lunch first to get some food and also to get a little rest from all that driving. I have been driving the whole morning after all. There is a large hotel overlooking Achill Sound and I thought it has a great view of the island of Achill. I would see some people staying here and it seems to be a major landmark in this area.

There is an attached restaurant here and I thought it would be the best place to have some lunch. This might be the best place around the area seeing as to how remote this place is. It seems that I arrived at the restaurant a bit too early and they were still serving breakfast. I told them that I don’t mind waiting for the lunch menu since it would be available very soon. I eventually got myself lunch, which turned out to be two hamburger patties and you pour gravy on it. There was nothing special about the patties and I can’t say I was happy with them. The chips weren’t done very well either. At least it was food. The place itself was okay. It looks a little old and probably needs some refurbishment. I finished my food and continued on my way.
