Taipei 101 Shopping Mall

It probably doesn’t come as a surprise to know that Taipei 101 comes with a shopping center component. This part of the city of Taipei seems to have been zone for high end commercial use. There are also nearby shopping centers in the area as well but the one at Taipei 101 is probably the most accessible. I can’t remember when I was in a Taipei shopping mall but shopping malls in Asia all tend to be alike these days. The mall at Taipei 101 is high end as expected. There were numerous brand name shops here and it seems to be quite fancy here.

Looking at the shops, they don’t seem to have stuff that I would be interested in. I would probably be interested in food though. What sets the shopping mall apart is the fact that it is attached to the tallest building in Taiwan. Indeed, you can see the body of the main tower almost like it is embedded into the mall itself. It was an interesting effect. Not too far away from it is clear roof where you can see the rest of the skyscraper. It was already dark when I got there so it was difficult to see Taipei 101 since it was so bright inside the shopping mall.
