Mullaghmore Head is one of the discovery points of the Wild Atlantic Way. Even though I have been here on a previous visit. This is probably the first time I would be able to properly appreciate what is here. There was bad weather the previous times when we visited, this time were were extremely lucky that were was blue skies all around. The waters were only slightly calmer which just means that there were less waves now. There are still a lot of waves since this place is known to be a surfing destination. While I didn’t see anyone surfing here, I managed to see more of the scenery now.

The road takes us around Mullaghmore Head which is a small piece of headland sticking out to the sea. This provides a perfect view for visitors wishing to see the area. There are fine walking paths here but for people like me who prefer to drive, there are several parking spots here where drivers can get off an enjoy the views. Most of the time the best spots have already been picked out for you so all you need to do it find the Wild Atlantic Way sign and the best spot will surely be there. There are usually parking spots in these points so there is no need to worry. There is a castle like structure to the far left. That is actually Classiebawn Castle, however it is not open to visitors. It would have been great to visit such a place by perhaps it is not time yet.
