Going to Mullaghmore Head

One thing which I didn’t get to appreciate here in Mullaghmore when I first came here was the supposedly natural beauty of the place. I was unfortunate to visit at a time when the weather wasn’t good. Going around Ireland and hoping for good weather is like betting on the lottery. When you strike, you will be richly rewarded with fantastic scenery. This was the case when I revisited Mullghmore Head. I wasn’t sure where it actually was but we merely followed the road from the pier towards the sea. This road circles around Mullaghmore Head so it is the perfect path to take when exploring this area.

Visibility was extremely good that day and the seas were very blue. It was difficult to get bad photos here. This was in sharp contrast to my first visit here where I was constantly running back to the car because there weather was so bad. I remember thinking “what was so nice about this place”. I think this is the time for me to find out what is so great about this place. From here, one can have a good look at the Atlantic Ocean and see its raw power. Mullaghmore is known for its surf and I think I can see why. There were powerful waves crashing on to the rocks here. I don’t know if this is where people would be surfing but I thought this wasn’t a very safe place to do so with all these rocks. Perhaps surfers would be surfing much further away from the shore.
