Bordeaux at Night

I had a decent meal at Restaurant Chez Paulette in Bordeaux not too far from Rue Sainte-Catherine. By the time I stepped out of the restaurant, the weather had took a turn for the worse. The rain was coming down now and it was difficult to keep dry. The sun had already gone down and I knew that the major landmarks here in Bordeaux are lit up at night. I needed to revisit at least some of them for photographs and see what I can do about the rain. I head back to the Place de la Bourse and it was brilliantly lit up. This would have been a great chance for photos but the rain was just ruining things.

The rain was so bad that my camera lens was wet and it had rain droplets on it making taking photographs a nightmare. I wiped away the water and just tried to make the best of what I can see. As you can see, a lot of the photos have water droplets visible in the photo. It was a shame that the weather wasn’t that nice that night but such is the nature of travel photography. I would end that night in Bordeaux just heading back to the hotel and trying to keep myself dry. I think half a day’s tour of Bordeaux definitely doesn’t do it justice. I think this is one of those places which deserve a closer look.
