Amid of the attention being given to the star attraction of the Temple of Heaven Park, it would only be too easy to give the other structures a miss. After all they are nowhere near as charistmatic as the Temple of Heaven itself. In my opinion, this gives photographers the perfect opportunity to take photos from different perpectives since there are much less people in these parts of the park. The Temple of Heaven is surrounded by four gates. These gates are also meant to keep unwanted people from entering the grounds – meaning common people.

The Emperor is elevated to a status equal to a god so it is only fitting that only they are allowed to enter the sacred grounds of the Temple of Heaven. But now, common people rich or poor are now allowed to see the Temple of Heaven up close. The temple probably hasn’t seen this much human traffic as it is experiencing now. It would be funny if the emperor would have to wade through hundreds of people just to be able to pray here.
