At last, I was at the Cappella degli Scrovegni. Despite the rain, there were still visitors here and it seems that I just missed the last batch of visitors that went in the chapel. The chapel has controlled access, this means that visitors are only allowed inside and out at certain times to control the temperature and humidity inside the chapel. I can tell how important this place is because they won’t go to such lengths for an ordinary chapel. I was at the waiting area of the chapel waiting for my turn. There was a video playing information about the chapel but it was in Italian and of course, I don’t understand anything. All I know is that it looks amazing.

Another thing that was getting me excited was that there doesn’t seem to be any one else entering the waiting area. There was only one other guy who went in after me and the entrance to the waiting area was closed. This meant that I practically have the entire place to myself. No one else gets in the chapel until after we are done with it. This happened earlier in the morning at another chapel, but this one is far more important. This doesn’t happen very often and I want to make full use of it. I know that there were a lot of people who went in ahead of me and I think I have to thank the rain for keeping the number of visitors low.
