I visited the Oratori di San Michele Arcangelo or Oratory of Saint Michael Archangel. I had a great visit since I was there all alone. The oratory as you might expect is just a small chapel, so it was very easy to visit. If you are not here to study the frescoes, you can probably finish the visit within a few minutes photos included. I am no scholar but I still took a little time to have a good look at the frescoes. These are very old frescoes and it gives you an idea of how old the city is. I don’t think Padova would be considered a museum city but large parts of the city are still somewhat stuck in time.

There is a small river that runs right past the oratory and I thought to walk along it just since it looks so rustic. This isn’t a famous river or anything, I just happened to see it and it reminds me those riverside village that you can find in Europe. Padova isn’t one of these but I think parts of the city sure look like it. I would be interested to know if the city gets any busy during the summer since most people would be heading towards Venice. Padova has so much history with it that I would be a shame to miss it.
