It turns out that the Capitol Reef National Park also has a Narrows of its own. The first one that I knew about is the one at Zion National Park. While the one at Zion has a flowing river to follow along the Narrows, the one at Capitol Reef National Park has a dried up river bed. I have no idea how long the river has been dry here but at least I can tell that it has been hard at work. There are soaring sandstone cliffs which were obviously carved out by the river. The actual Narrows part had two canyon walls close to each other, enough to call them the Narrows.

When I heard of the name the Narrows, I imagined how visitors would need to squeeze themselves through the canyon to get through however, the canyons are much wider than that, so there is no squeezing involved. The trail is very easy to follow and there is barely any elevation gain that I was able to walk a few kilometers into the river bed without getting tired. This trail is actually just part of a much longer trail that could take up several days of hiking. I obviously have no plans on doing a multi-day hike but I was loving the scenery of whatever I get here.
