Snow Covered Trail to Yovimpa Point at Bryce Canyon National Park
Snow Covered Trail to Yovimpa Point at Bryce Canyon National Park

In my visit to Bryce Canyon National Park, I decided that I would do the driving route in reverse, that is to start at the end before going back to the visitor center. The plan was to hopefully get less visitors in the way, but it was low season so I don’t really expect a lot of visitors in the first place. At the very end of the driving route is what is the highest point of Bryce Canyon National Park. There were a few points of interest here and Rainbow Point is one of them. You can get expansive views of the area and I could not get tired of seeing it. If only it weren’t so cold here.

Rainbow Point is one viewpoint which faces north and this gives you an idea of the sheer power of nature pushing the Colorado Plateau up this high. As mentioned before, this highest point of Bryce Canyon National Park has a few points of interest. The other significant one is Yovimpa Point. As you can imagine, this is the one which faces south. The viewpoint is across the visitor’s car park and can be easily accessed by following the signs. The area was surprisingly not empty. I can see that there are already people here walking about. Thankfully, I think this is as crowded as I would probably get this time of the year. I am so glad I decided to come.
