Going to the Three Patriarchs at Zion National Park

Bridge Crossing the Virgin River

The Three Patriarchs is a set of three prominent peaks at Zion National Park. They tower above a relatively open area which make them stand out even more. Like most of Zion National Park, the Three Patriarchs are made of sandstone and they are one of the most significant landmarks here at the park. Even I noticed the three peaks as the park bus was making its way to the Narrows. Fortunately, the weather has cleared up and I was finally getting a bit of blue sky. Even the sun has started to show up. While visitors don’t really need to hike since the Three Patriarchs can be easily seen from the bus stop. It is still nice to get a clearer view of the peaks.

There is a short bridge which crosses the Virgin River to allow visitors easier access to the opposite site. There are actually a few trails to follow here but I won’t be doing any of them since I don’t think the weather is stable enough for a long hike and secondly, the hikes are quite long. Along the way, I was seeing signs for certain places where some trails are closed and this was the recommended way. I actually wanted to go to those places but this current way was way to far for me to bother going there. I just wanted to get a better angle for the Three Patriarchs and be done with it.
