I was delighted to be able to visit another ancient Roman amphitheater. Although they do tend to look the same, I am still excited to be able to visit these places. The city of Verona seems to be very busy unlike Vicenza where I was the previous day, this city seems to have way more people. The city is generally flat, hopefully this means that most people would be spread out over the city. Either way, I need to continue with my visit. I was intending to visit an important church here in the city and I was making my way there.

When I got there, I saw that there is a large river passing through the city. This is the River Adige and it is the second longest river in the country. The river originates from the Alps and winds its way down and eventually passes through several cities with Verona being one of them. Technically, it was the cities which were built along the banks of the river but I digress. There were several bridges which cross the River Adige and there was one right outside the church. The river then makes its way to the Adriatic Sea exiting somewhere near Venice.
