Garden of Eden in Arches National Park
Garden of Eden in Arches National Park

Following the driving route at Arches National Park is the easiest way to visit the park. The main sights have already been curated by the park management and roads have been built so visitors can more or less access them without needing to hike for too long. Every few minutes of driving, I would stop to take photos of interesting rock formations. So far, nothing jaw dropping. I was beginning to think that the scenery are Zion and Bryce would be better than these. From what I have been seeing, there weren’t too many canyons here. I would assume that each park would have their own character and thus their own unique features.

The Garden of Eden is one of these named structures. Why would it be named that? It is because it is a large concentration of sandstone pillars with more or less similar height, not unlike a forest. I already noticed this formation from far away and I wondered if I would get anywhere near it. It seemed so far away but fortunately, this was one of those places which the driving route passes through and visitors can take photos of it from a closer distance. If you want to get even closer, you would need to walk. It didn’t seem to be that far and I think I would have made for an interesting visit.
