Island Hopping at Boracay

Blue Green Waters at Boracay

We only arrived the previous day but I was rather disappointed with the weather at Boracay. I know I shouldn’t really expect much since it was officially rainy season. That means, that if it isn’t raining, I should be thankful. Still, I can’t help but hope that we would actually get some beach weather during our stay in Boracay. The following day, we were scheduled to do some island hopping. If there were any time that there should be good weather, this would have to be it. Lo and behold, it wasn’t raining! And you can actually see blue skies here. The blue skies help enhanced the colors you see here. It makes you think that Boracay is really a very beautiful island.

Our tour guide came to fetch us from the hotel. Like most Filipinos, he was a friendly guy and obviously has been doing this for a while. The boat actually wasn’t outside the hotel. Actually, boats aren’t allowed there but we have to walk all the way down to Station 3 which is where all the boats are. You will definitely know this because there will be a lot of people here waiting to go on their island hopping tour. As far as our boat is concerned, it wasn’t the more modern type that came to fetch us from the airport. Our boat will be a motorized outrigger canoe which is large enough to probably fit twenty people. More importantly, there is a roof on the boat so help shield us from the tropical sun. The staff were very helpful and will assist everybody on to the boat. This won’t be my first time doing this but I am still excited nonetheless.
