Morton’s The Steakhouse Boston

I got another chance to go to Boston, Massachusetts but I know that I don’t really have that much time to myself. I still brought along the camera just in case I would find or visit something interesting. I know I can just bring my phone but I think I am just too old school. I’m not terribly fond of these trips not because of the people I would have to meet but it is more the journey itself. I would need to travel three hours to the airport, and as you know you need to be at the airport at least two hour early. However, this was also summer time and airport traffic was bad the last time so I didn’t want to be risking not catching my flight because I couldn’t reach the plane in time. I ended up getting there way, way early, which I think is better than just getting there in time and stressing over whether I can make it or not.

I could never sleep properly on planes and this was no different. Because I started early in the day, I ended up not sleeping the previous night so you can just imagine how tiring this journey was. This won’t be my first time in Boston, so I was more or less familiar with the place by now. The hotel is actually not too far from the subway station which was convenient. I didn’t want to go too far for dinner since I just wanted to sleep. Fortunately, there were several restaurants nearby and I ended up at a place called Morton’s.

I have heard of the name Morton’s before and I knew that it was a steakhouse but I never eaten there before. This would be my first time eating there. So there I was in my shorts and entered the surprisingly classy restaurant. I was unbothered by my attire and it seems that neither were the staff. I got an order of ribeye steak. Now this steak isn’t as overwhelmingly massive like the other steaks which I had here in the United States before. This is perfect for me since I don’t want to be going to sleep on a super full stomach.

I had a very pleasant meal. The steak was perfectly done. It was very nice and tender. I had the steak with some onion rings which was actually rather large but I still managed to finish it. The ribeye I had was on the bone which meant that I have to clean the bone up of any meat, something which I wasn’t very good at. The restaurant itself is at a very nice location by the new Seaport area and it makes for a perfect location of an after dinner walk. I was glad that I chose this place and I will not hesitate to come back here the next chance I get to visit.
