I thought that it would be a good idea to visit the statue of Loreley at Sankt Goarhausen. It seems that Loreley is deeply associated with this area and it would be a shame not to visit the statue. What I didn’t know was that it was rather inconvenient to visit the statue, especially if you do not have transport of your own. As for me, I had to walk from the town of Sankt Goarhausen cross the land bridge to the strip of land where the statue is and finally walk all the way to the end to reach the statue. I did see some people there earlier but by the time I got to the statue they were long gone because of how far I needed to walk. There is a car park near the entrance of the park so if you have your own car, just drive over and make the walk to the statue.

They picked a very good spot to build the statue. The statue faces downstream and the view is certainly very nice. You might need to wait for ships to pass before you can get a nice photo though. Although the sun was out, the temperature was still very cold and it might not be obvious from the photos. This is one of the reasons why I wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. I knew I needed to walk far to get back to Sankt Goar, so I took my photos and I was on my way.
