Chapel of All Saints at Aachen Cathedral

As I was trying to make my way out of the Aachen Cathedral, I found out that I haven’t seen all the rooms that are accessible to visitors. I ended up visiting the Chapel of Saint Nicholas and Saint Michael which unlike chapels in other churches it a bit separated out from the cathedral. You can tell that this was built much later but it is still worth knowing that the chapel was built seven hundred years after the original Palatine Chapel which forms the core of the Aachen Cathedral. Unfortunately, the chapel was a bit too dark for my comfort and I soon after got out and entered another room which turned out to be another chapel.

The Chapel of All Saints in Aachen Cathedral is yet another chapel. I found it curious that they would build another chapel right beside an existing one. It is not like a gothic cathedral where the chapels are scattered along the sides of the church. In this case, one would need to go in the Chapel of Saint Nicholas and Saint Michael to access the Chapel of All Saints. This chapel is much brighter than the previous chapel though. This one is a bit more sparse compared to the previous chapel. This apprears to resemble a more modern chapel which the traditional pews and altar in front.
