The previous day when I was having a fancy dinner at Smith and Wollensky, I noticed a structure which seem to be in the middle of the river (actually Fort Point Channel). It seems like there is a house which what appears to be a ship beside it. This house was connected to the nearby bridge so I knew that it is possible to get there but it would only be the next day that I would be able to visit it. This was the Boston Tea Party Museum. To understand what this Boston Tea Party is, one would need to dive a bit into American history.

This was a time when relations between the Britain and then Colonial America were worsening. One of the main points of contention was that the British Americans were being taxed without representation. This means, that the tax was being applied to the British Americans unilaterally. Tensions increases until a raid was done on a British tea ship and the chests of tea were thrown overboard. In retaliation for the raid, the British reacted very harshly but this only made things worse. Ultimately, the Boston Tea Party would be remember as the one which set up the chain of events which eventually led to the American Revolution.

This Boston Tea Party Museum is one which is built in the middle of the Fort Point Channel in Boston. There are people in period costumes and there are performances in regular intervals. There is also a museum inside with artifacts including a chest of tea from the actual Boston Tea Party. There is a replica boat from the period as well. It seems to be a popular place to visit as there were a lot of people there at the time. If you are a history afficionado, this would be a place worth visiting since it relates to events that directly led to the birth of the United States of America.
