Cave at Pollet Beach

Small Cave at Pollet Beach

Small Cave at Pollet Beach

There really isn’t much to see around the Pollet Sea Arch. Sure, the sea arch itself is impressive. It is large but it is also relatively inaccessible since the tide has come in. I don’t know how low the water goes here but I think it would be enough for people to reach the arch. How much further you can go, I can’t really tell. I decided to call it a day since there didn’t seem to be anything else interesting to see here. Or is there? I decided to see if the right end of the beach at Pollet has anything to offer. I remember seeing structures which might be cliffs. A bit of clambering around some rocks and I was at another smaller but just as rocky beach.

Inside the Cave at Pollet Beach

Inside the Cave at Pollet Beach

Both sides of this small beach are surrounded by high walls. Not different from the walls that I saw near the sea arch itself. However, there is a little surprise here. There is a little opening that was carved out of the wall here and it formed a cave. It isn’t really that deep here but I think it is still a nice little cave enough to keep you out of the rain. I don’t envision anyone able to live here since water would definitely come in here. At the time of my visit, the water was low enough to reach the small cave without getting wet. Further on, you can probably continue on following the coast, but I was all alone and if I fall here, no one would ever know and no one would update this blog anymore.
