Pollet Sea Arch

I have heard about the Pollet Sea Arch but I didn’t get a chance to visit it because the original path was closed as off limits. However, there is a brand new walkway which allows visitors to go through the private property safely and down to the beach. Walking down the dirty path, you can’t really see the arch itself. You would think that something that big would be easily visible from the top but this is not the case. I think it is behind the hill where I started so it should be visible soon. The walkway curves to the left to the water, once you get past this curve, you should start seeing the sea arch.

At the time of my visit, there was only one other group which was there. Once I waited for them to leave, I had the entire place all to myself. I visited soon after the walkway was opened to the public, even the car park wasn’t finished when I got there. This means that not too many people know about it yet. I’m sure however that this has changed a lot since my visit. I just enjoyed my visit as much as I can. The beach itself isn’t a looker at all the beach basically very rocky and hard to walk in unless you get very close to the water. Walk any further from the water and you will have to deal with stones, rocks and sometimes boulders. The sea arch is to the left of the beach and honestly, it is a bit underwhelming probably because of its size. The sea arch was most probably formed by the collapse of the rock below that rocky outcrop. It is exposed to the constant battering by the waves that at some point in time, it just fell and formed the arch.
