Champagne Making at Moët and Chandon

I think what made the tour at Moët and Chandon more interesting were the stories which our tour guide would be telling us. I imagined that it would be boring since we will just be going through the cellars but there were a few interesting tidbits which our tour guide would be telling us. He would be very patient when answering questions but sometimes I think he would get the question wrong or just not understand it at all. Still, he would be very patient with us and most importantly, he waits for us to make sure that his tour group is intact.

We saw how the wine would be stored in the constant temperatures of these dark cellars. There were also techniques in getting rid of the sediment from the wine such as cutting off the top of the bottle or the more modern way of freezing them before cutting. There is also the traditional way of rotating the bottles to make sure the wine ferments evenly. With all those bottles which need fermenting there are also more modern way of doing it like robots which automate this process. I thought it was interesting to see how futuristic tech would be combined with centuries old tech to produce champagne.
