Things have come full circle now in Morocco. I am back where I started. I am taking a flight out of the country which I had the privilege of traveling for almost two weeks. The planning could have been better but I still got to see a lot of it in that span of time. My port of entry is the city of Marrakesh. Looking at the map, you would think that it is actually Marrakesh which is out of the way. Most of the cities I have been to are along the Atlantic coast, Marrakesh is the only one which is out of the way. If I would come back here I would probably try to see what is east of Marrakesh, there are desert trips you can take and I think they can be quite interesting.

Marrakesh Menara Airport is their primary airport here and it is an eye opener to see how beautiful this airport is. The design is very modern but it still incorporates a lot of Moroccan and Islamic design into the structure. Light is allowed to go in the terminal buildings so you feel a sense of space here. Air traffic isn’t that bad here in Marrakesh which also helps with the space issue. It is refreshing to see this kind of airport here when my idea of a country in Africa would be very third world. This has been a huge eye opener for me to see how the African countries are starting to catch up and sometimes even leapfrog more advanced countries. Because of this, I think I would be more open to the idea of visiting other countries in Africa.
