I wasn’t too happy with that bowl of snail I just had. The snails were boiled in some herbal soup and the taste wasn’t too my liking. I did finish the bowl though then I was on my way. I was thinking that I should just head back to the dar where I was staying since I think I have seen most of the important spots here in the medina. I probably tired myself out getting lost over and over again. Just when you think you knew the way, you would get lost again. It was through this that someone called out to me and started a conversation. He claimed to just have a talk so he can speak better English so he can get a job as a tour guide or something like that.

To be honest, I couldn’t care less, I was tired and I really wanted to go back. I have a feeling that he is just out for money so I was on my guard. Alas, these people are very experienced and soon enough I was already following him. While he didn’t give me a sob story he did say he has a family and several children. I was then brought to where his house is. It happens to overlook the medina of Fès and the view actually wasn’t that bad. There was ribbish strewn below so the location itself wasn’t very nice. This residential area is obviously a place where tourists don’t go to. It was too late for me, I would probably end up giving this guy money even though he claimed he will not ask for money.
