Going to Five Fingers Strand

I had a quick and uninspiring lunch in the town of Carndonagh. It seem like there was much to see in the town apart from the Carndonagh High Cross, a 7th century Irish stone cross. I took a few photos of the cross before moving on the Inishowen 100. This time, the road brings me to the north of the peninsula and also the very northern tip of Ireland but before that there seem to be some interesting places here. I saw a sign for the Five Fingers Strand and I assume that is another beach. There is a spacious carpark before going to the beach.

While I was excited to go see the beach in such a beautiful day, the carpark also provided some sights of its own. There was flat field just beside the carpark and it was intensely green. The sheep we out that day and it made for such a nice photo that I couldn’t resist. The scene was almost like those old Windows wallpapers which make you wonder if it was real or not. This was very real. The sheep were too far to bother, not that they would actually come here to see visitors. From the car park, there is a long path which will lead to the beach. I have never been to this beach before so I was quite excited to see this place.
