Capitole de Toulouse

It was a pleasure to be walking about the city center of Toulouse. It was my last day here in the city and I wanted to make sure I also get to see the city itself, since from the looks of it, it is also a pretty city. Much of the city center makes use of red brick and I think it is very attractive. In the renovation of the city, large parts of the city center has been turned into pedestrian areas. This led to the mushrooming of various commercial establishments. I think the renovation was a huge success seeing the number of people here in the square.

Closer Look at the Capitole de Toulouse

The city center is punctuated by the Capitole de Toulouse which is the administrative center of the city. It sits by what is the city’s largest square in the Place du Capitole. The capitole is probably one of the the city’s more important landmarks. I was impressed with the size of the Place du Capitole and how the ground was also tiled. It is one of the prettier squares I have been to. At night the Capitole is lit up. I would have to see if I am in the mood to come here in the evening. Finally a bit of good news for me – it wasn’t raining though the ground is a bit wet. Hopefully the weather holds.
