Inside the Auschwitz

There is an ominous feeling stepping into the ground of the Auschwitz, arguably the most well known of the German concentration camps. Hitler has this well known hatred of the Jews and with his rise to power, he managed to control government and invaded Europe. What resulted was the wholesale rounding up of people based solely on race. While other races were also targeted, the Jews were the most prominent targets of these arrests. It would be best to have left Europe during this time but a lot of people won’t have the means so they were rounded up and brought to enclosed communities for “processing”. As one would imagine, life inside these “communities” was horrible. Disease and sanitation problems were common.

A lot of people would be brought out to concentration camps like the Auschwitz under the false pretense of eventual freedom. These concentration camps had buildings which look a lot like residential buildings except that all you get is a bed, if you are lucky. Toilets were common one and unsanitary. In short, life was horrible. People were being brought from all over the region to these concentration camps so they would be isolated from the rest of the country and the world. The Auschwitz museum has a lot of exhibits on the camp. A lot of them were truly difficult to take, but perhaps that is the desired effect of this museum.
