I was very happy to finally run into the main square of Krakow named Rynek Główny. This square is said to be one of the largest medieval squares in Europe. I have been to a few of these squares and this one is really very impressive in its scale. The main square is understandably the center of the town. There were a lot of establishments around the square up to this day. Perhaps one of the most important structures in the square at the time was city hall itself. I was trying to figure out which building here was city hall and thought the Cloth Hall was it but apparently not.

The city hall is no more as there was an effort in the late 1800s to open up the square. There used to be a large building here in the square which used to be city hall. It has since been town down. It is rather strange that the square was that large and yet only two structures were in the middle of the square. The city hall didn’t totally go away though, the town hall tower which stood above the square remained. Indeed you can look at the body of the town hall tower and you can see where there used to be another structure which was stuck to it.
