Fintragh Beach

Fintragh Beach

It is a pleasure to be driving around in nice weather. We found ourselves driving around the southwestern part of county Donegal. This route forms part of the Wild Atlantic Way which stretches from the north of Donegal all the way to county Cork in the south. Exploring the entire route would take several days or maybe weeks. I have explored various part of the route and I must say that I like it a lot. As we make our way back home, there were signs pointing us to another point of interest here. I am not familiar with the area so it helps that these signs point us the way.

Fintragh Beach is the next stop on our tour. It is another one of county Donegal’s unspoiled beaches. We entered the village but it seemed that the beach was much further down the road. We only took photos from the village. I remember thinking that was a great view entering the village. There was a house which was built on the right and it seems to have a great view of the beach. I can imagine waking up in the morning to a beautiful day to see the beach. It is a blue flag beach, which means that it is maintained in a sustainable way, and it is an indication of the quality of the beach.
