I was sun burned in Coron-corong Beach in Bacacay. The sky was very clear that day and the sun was merciless. The heat sapped all my strength and I needed to take break somewhere before I continue. The village was very small and it is very residential as well so there were any cafeterias where one can eat. I think people prepare their own meals here and they seldom have visitors outside summer. I ws dreading the walk back to the main junction since it was going to be uphill all the way. Fortunately, there was a tricycle for hire going to the junction. It was pricey but I’d pay rather than walking back in this heat. I managed to find my way back to Legazpi City where I had a quick lunch.

Good thing was that there were a lot of jeepneys passing by and I just hopped on a jeepney going the way of Camalig which was along the national highway. I never heard of this place but I was sure I passed by this town on my way to Legazpi city. Apparently, there is an old church here in this town called Saint John the Baptist Church. Unfortunately, it wasn’t marked very well in the map and I had a little difficulty finding the place. I got off at the town market and had to back track a bit to find the church. It wasn’t on the main road and one needed to walk a short distance to get to the church. I only it was there when I caught a glimpse of the church from the national highway.
