Thoughts on the Statue of Liberty

Unfortunately, my Best Photo of the Statue of Liberty is One From Behind

It was probably beyond my wildest dreams that I would be able to see the Statue of Liberty. If it weren’t for a business trip, I won’t even have the opportunity to go to the United States. I always thought that it was too troublesome to go apply a visa and prepare documents and stuff but seems I was forced to get one for this business trip. It was a weekend I do have time to go to New York which was fortunately just a bus ride away. I was thankful that our meetings would be held in New Jersey, at least I have New York to visit. So here I am at the Statue of Liberty with a good friend of mine to explore with.

We didn’t go up the statue itself. It was enough that I got to see the statue up close. Any closer and photographs would have been difficult. Besides, going up to the observation deck would have been expensive, not to mention it would take too long. We were in a hurry to go back to New York City since we would meet up with a common friend of ours. The day was perfect unfortunately, we were there in the afternoon which made taking photos of the statue difficult from some angles. Unfortunately, this angle included the one facing front. We took a walk around the statue and made our way back to the ferry terminal to catch the next trip.
