Inside the Saint Bartholomew’s Church

I was pleasantly surprised to an interesting church like Saint Bartholomew’s Church in New York. In contrast to the modern skyscrapers surrounding it, the church sports a Byzantine revival design, almost quite the opposite of modern design. The church didn’t seem to be very busy even if it was a Sunday. I just walked in to take photos. The church was surprisingly deserted. It was good at least I would be able to take photos better.

The interior was surprisingly nice. It had that air of being an ancient structure around it and you probably wouldn’t have thought that the church was only built in the early 1900s. It has pretty much the same structure as traditional churches. There were chairs facing the altar. There was no service at that time but it was okay. The entrance is probably one of the more interesting features of the church. Beautiful design of the ceiling near the entrance is sure to impress visitors. The ceiling has a lot of gold color which make this place even more impressive. This church is probably a bit off the beaten track but for some interesting architecture, this place might not be a bad choice.
