College Park in Trinity College

From the outside Trinity College didn’t really seem that big, after all how much space can a university occupy in the middle of a bustling city. As it turns out, the answer is quite a lot. I was surprised to see how big Trinity College is from the inside. It actually has a lot of space for students and tourists to walk. As might be common in universities, they typically have large quandrangles as a form of greenery within the university grounds. Trinity College has a few very large open grounds, probably too large to call a quandrangle anymore. The largest of these areas is College Park.

True to its name, College Park is basically a very large grassy area. I’m very impressed how they have managed to keep the greenery within the campus. At the same time, the buildings here weren’t very tall either. Some universities I know have resorted to building tall buildings just to keep up with their expansion, it doesn’t seem to be a problem here in Trinity College. I imagine it would be nice to spend a sunny afternoon here just watching people pass by but summer is still half a year away. I’ll try that next time I drop by.
