The flight of stairs at the top of Shika Snow Mountain came as a challenge for me. The stairs actually didn’t look very steep at all and I could have normally tackled it any other day. However, this was at a very different altitude than what I was used to. Although I don’t really feel the effects of the thinner air here, I wasn’t willing to take any chances here. You could say that I was deliberately walking in slow motion, though I don’t really know whether it would help. I would have been hilarious to see me moving.

The top of the mountain was disappointingly hazy. Although it wasn’t bad enough not to be able to see what is in front of you, it was bad enough not to see the next mountain, which was practically the whole point of this trip. Anyway, we do see some Tibetan chorten on top of the mountain. These are actually Tibetan versions of stupa but they are normally wrapped in all sorts of stuff like prayer flags which honestly makes a chaotic but wonderful mess. There were three of these chorten on top but I had no idea what they were. My driver had hid himself in the cable car station for some reason and I was just exploring the top on my own.
