The second leg of the cable car ride appeared to be shorter than the one from the main entrance. It is possible that it is because I already have an idea of where we would be going so it doesn’t seem to be that far anymore. At this point, I seemed to have calmed down a little from all that worrying about the never ending ascent of the cable car. I think I was okay at the halfway point of the climb up Shika Snow Mountain, so I figured that I should be okay for the rest of the way up.

It is quite surprising to know how quiet the cable car ride was. Sometimes the car would stop every now and then for who knows what but it gives visitors time to take in the fresh mountain air and try to take in the gorgeous views of the mountain. When I visited, the mountain was ablaze with greenery. I was quite surprised to see so much plant life here but maybe I was just not used to visiting such places. Near the top of the mountain, the flora started thinning and starts exposing the solid rock of the mountain.
