I will have to admit, I had no idea where I was. There were arrow which pointed to the South exit and I was trying to resist following them. It has already been two hours since I entered the park and I was getting exhausted. This place was huge! I really underestimated the size of the park. And it was wasn’t something like the Summer Palace which was easy to figure out. The Summer Palace was just a matter of going around Kunming Lake. The Yuanmingyuan Park was much larger and had no clear path to take.

The streams leading to Fuhai Lake were going all over the place and it didn’t really lead me anywhere, but they really provided me with some nice scenery. The best thing here is that there were hardly any people here. Most of the people in the park came here to see the ruins of the imperial palace and not a lot of people have the interest to venture into the western side of the park.
