The Imperial Palace in Shenyang is living up to my expectations, the quality of the architecture is similar to the ones found in Beijing, although the palace in Shenyang seems to look older, but it is still well maintained. A lot of the palaces here were just living quarters for the concubines of the Emperor and the interiors are quite sparse considering their rank. Then again, you can’t really expect a flat screen TV in here, right? Instead people here while their time away with poetry and art.

One part of the palace was converted into a museum. Apparently, there is a separate entrance fee for this but I seemed to have already bought it when I purchased a ticket for the palace. Most of the museum was dedicated to porcelain ware which China is of course famous for. They exhibits here may not be as impressive as the ones I have seen elsewhere but it was interesting nonetheless. The exhibit was in a very small room and you could probably go through the entire thing in five minutes if you are not into this kind of thing.
