Walking Through the Yushan Noblemen Cemetery

The new site was much closer to the city of Ji’an than the Wandu Mountain City. It seems to be still at some kind of elevation as I can see the tops of the buildings of Ji’an. After presenting myself at the entrance, my guide asked me to go in and explore. The staff at the entrace also came along to do some introduction of the site for my benefit and it is free, but only if you can understand Chinese. I understand Chinese but I had no idea what she was talking about. There was too much history going on there that I just nodded my head at whatever she was saying.

Inside the Tomb? Nothing

Inside the Tomb? Nothing

This was the Yushan Noblemen Cemetery, from the name you already know what this is. This is practically the same kind of place which we just came from, except that this was much nearer the city. Once again, it is the noblemen who are buried here. There were numerous burial mounds here in the area and I guess it might be pointless to explore all of them since they all tend to look alike. Much like the Wandu Mountain City, there was a path which visitors have to take to bring them around the area. This is good so people won’t have to trample all over the place to visit the place lest they unintentionally break something.
