The Jile Temple is one of the more underrated places to see in the Chinese city of Haerbin. The Jile Temple is a living and breathing temple unlike a lot of the places of worship I have seen in Haerbin. I would have to admit though that the Jile Temple architecture didn’t really inspire me that much since it is typical architecture that I have come to associate with the Chinese. This is in total contrast to the rather exotic architectural designs shown by the Saint Sophia Cathedral or even the Saint Alekseyev Church also here in Haerbin.

One thing you can say is that Haerbin has a great collection of architetural style which cannot be seen elsewhere in the country. This is probably one of the biggest reasons to visit Haerbin, at least for me, since I am an architectural buff. Jile Temple lies in one of the busier sections of the city and it was a little tough for me to find it. The temple itself was nowhere near where the bus dropped me off. I was fortunate enough to find it and I managed to find it without asking for directions yet. The Jile Temple will give me an insight of how the people of Haerbin practice their religion and I think that is one of the more beautiful aspects of visiting a place.
