Stele Pavillion at the Lingyin Temple 灵隐寺

The Lingyin Temple was a vast area which covers mountains and lakes. It was also a popular tourst destination so there were naturally a lot of people there. The thing I like about Hangzhou’s scenic spots are that they are widely dispersed throughout the lake area. As a result, tourists are not funnelling into one single tourist destination. However, this is not to say that there were no people are the temple grounds either.

A Closer Look at the Stele

It was already lunch time when we got to Lingyin Temple and unfortunately, we need to hurry up. We need to explore the Lingyin Temple grounds fast so we can move on to the next sight. At the entrance was a pavillion which houses a stele. The stele was as usual made of stone with the words Lingyin 灵隐 on them. A lot of people were taking photos with the stele and I was reminded how difficult it was to get photos in China. Come to think of it, it was probaby my first time to experience Chinese mass tourism in a while.
