For someone who only knew about Confucius through the Golden Rule, this is one overwhelming place. Everything about this place is about Confucius and there a numerous stories about him that can be told by this place. Unfortunately for me, I don’t know much about his life nor was I really into that to begin with. However, the chance to visit the places where the Great Teacher grew up and lived in is just too good to pass up.

The temple is a pleasant place to visit, although the skies weren’t really very clear which made for terrible photos. The lack of mass tourism is also a draw here as it probably isn’t in the mainstream tourist circuit which makes it even more appealing. Confucius buffs will get a kick out of this place. While normal uninformed people like me will find it nothing out of the ordinary. There are however, three places which make up the Three Confucius 三孔 and it is time to move on to the next.
