Fangzhulinliu Pavillion 芳诸临流 Along the Lake Shore
Emperor Kangxi 康熙 listed down 36 scenic spots of the Mountain Resort, and I guess it would have been interesting to see all these 36 scenic spots, however, I don’t think it was realistic for me to be able to visit all of them so I decided to just walk around and hopefully run into some of them. I just started my wandering around the Good Luck Lake 如意湖 when I noticed that there were several pavillions lining the lake shores.

The Fangzhulinliu Pavillion 芳诸临流 was one of the first pavillions I stumbled into, this was one of Kangxi’s 36 scenic and it ranks as the 27th. I guess if I had more time visiting all of them would have been a worthwhile pursuit. The Fangzhuliniu Pavillion was an attractive pavillion and it provides an excellent viewing location along the lake shore. No doubt that Emperors would often come here a just admire the lake, just standing here and knowing that emperors used to do the same thing gets me all excited about this place.
