I wasn’t terribly impressed with the Jewish cemetery in the town of Třebíč. I know, I don’t know my history at all and it looked like just another cemetery. Still, this is part of the UNESCO World Heritage site which represents the harmony between Christians and Jews in the town of Třebíč. The other part of the UNESCO listing is the Jewish Quarter itself. It is below the hill where the cemetery is and we need to walk down the hill to get there. The Jewish quarter is on the way back to the town square, which means we will be passing through it anyway.

Before we actually go down, we saw this spot where the hill overlooks the town of Třebíč. The hill isn’t that high but it is enough to get an idea of where things are here in town. Apart from the churches which you can clearly see because of the spires, it wasn’t easy to tell one structure from another. The roofs looks very similar that it is actually quite nice. It seems to be a common practice here since it was also like that in other towns we have visited. There was some kind of metal sculpture which probably represents Třebíč. It is great for photographs with the town of Třebíč in the background.
