The town of Telč was small enough for us to visit in have a day. I know that this not doing it any justice but we don’t have a whole month to tour around the country. We just needed to make do with the time we have. We will be moving on to the next point in our journey. The city of Třebíč is another place with a UNESCO world heritage site and I am dragging my friends along with me. Třebíč is a short forty minute drive from Telč which works out fine for us.

We arrived a little early, and we were wondering what is there to see around the city when someone spotted this in Google Maps. It was a Dutch style windmill and it was rather strange to see it here. The windmill also called Větrník, was used to grind material to be used by the nearby tannery. Obviously, this was all before the time of electricity and this was a cheap way to get it done. When it was no longer used for the tannery, it eventually used as a residence. These days it is more of a tourist attraction. Still, this is a strange find here in the city of Třebíč.
